How can you participate?

Estimated baptized membership in 197 Mennonite, Brethren in Christ and related churches in 63 countries now stands at 1,203,995. The previous world estimate, in 1998, showed 1,060,143 baptized believers in 192 bodies in 61 countries.

Churches in the global South (Africa, Asia/Pacific, Caribbean/Central and South America) continue to lead the way with over 702,000 members. Churches in the North (Europe and North America) now number more than 501,000.

Membership statistics indicate baptized members, which include estimates (as indicated by ± in the individual conference listings). Information is based on the most recent data available at the time of printing, from 1999 or 2000 unless otherwise indicated.

Listing in the Mennonite and Brethren in Christ World Directory does not denote membership or participation in Mennonite World Conference.
