How can you participate?

Mennonite and Brethren in Christ communities worldwide are in need of prayerful support for the difficult conflicts and the hopeful opportunities they face. The Global Anabaptist Peace and Justice Network (GAPJN), sponsored by Mennonite World Conference, helps Anabaptist churches encourage each other and pray for peace. Local and national churches, as well as church-related organizations are invited to join the network and participate by submitting (and responding to) prayer requests. Just as the prayer time during Sunday worship allows a local church to pray for those in need, this Web site helps the global Anabaptist-Mennonite family offer prayerful support to members in need.

HOW IT WORKS:

JOIN: Participants join the network by completing a brief on-line application, after which a login name and password are sent. Those who join the network are expected to be appointed by and to act as contact persons for a Mennonite or Brethren in Christ church or organization.
REQUEST: Churches and organizations submit their requests for prayer and support.
READ: Prayer requests are posted in the Read Prayer Requests section of this Web site.
RESPOND: Network participants take prayer requests from this Web page and present them to their churches. Churches choose their response - prayer and/or other supportive actions.
REPORT: Following their responses to prayer requests, churches report on their activity through the reply section of this Web site. Replies are forwarded to the church, group, or organization that made the prayer request, so that they will know of the support they have received.
