Pakisa Tshimika and Ray and Margie Brubacher Join MWC Staff
STRASBOURG, France - Pakisa Tshimika, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ray and Margie Brubacher, from Canada, are joining the Mennonite World Conference staff for one year.
Tshimika, who is a member of the Mernnonite Brethren Church in Congo and who is currently residing in Fresno, California, has been appointed on a half-time basis for one year as coordinator of Global Sharing Projects. He also serves as Program Director for Africa and Director for Social Ministries for MBMS International.
Ray and Margie Brubacher will spend the first four months of their interim role with MWC in Elkhart, Indiana, at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. During this time Ray, who served as Director of MCC's International Program, Akron, Pennsylvania until summer 1999, will devote 40% of his time to MWC duties as Special Projects Director. In January 2000, Ray and Margie will be moving to Strasbourg, France, for an additional eight months of service. Margie will serve as an administrative assistant on a three-quarter time basis and Ray will work full-time.
